BBC chose Aziza Sabaiti among the 100 “most influential women in the world”

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) chose the Lebanese international runner, Aziza Sabaiti, on a list of 100 women, calling her “the most influential and inspiring women in the world” in 2023.

Sabaiti was chosen because she is the fastest runner in Lebanese history and holds the Lebanese record for the 60-meter and 100-meter races.

She previously won the gold medal in the West Asian Championship and the Arab Championship, which were held this year.

The list includes many faces of society, business administration, art and sports, for example, Spanish football Golden Ball holder Aitana Bonmatti and British runner Bianca Williams.

Sabiti, who was born on November 17, 1991, and who extinguished her 32nd birthday a few days ago, began her international career in 2010 when she participated in the World Junior Championships held in Canada. Then she participated in local, Arab, regional, continental and international championships and competitions, and won dozens of colorful medals through which she raised the Lebanese flag in foreign forums.

Sabaiti trains regularly under the supervision of the national coach, Dr. George Assaf, and belongs to the Lebanese “Litz Run” club.
