Can money buy happiness? Naguib Sawiris answers the difficult question

Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris answered the question that is always asked about buying happiness with money, and talked about his vision of happiness.

Sawiris stated during the activities of the Billion Followers Summit 2025 in the Emirates that he feels happy when the people around him are happy.

The Egyptian businessman stressed: "I cannot be happy if the people around me are unhappy. This loses the taste of success. I do not want to be the only happy one. I want happiness to spread."

He called for hard and continuous work for creativity and giving to spread happiness among people, stressing that "wealth alone does not bring happiness, but it is necessary to spread it among people."

Sawiris also criticized artificial intelligence, noting that artificial intelligence and its use in all aspects of life "assassins" the human touch.
