Hurricane "Debby" threw a huge envelope onto a beach in the US state of Florida, which surprised vacationers. The acting chief of the Miami Sector Patrol of the US Border Patrol, Samuel Briggs, said in a statement yesterday, Tuesday: "Hurricane Debbie caused 25 packages of cocaine (70 pounds) to fly onto a beach in the Florida Keys."
He added: "A beachgoer discovered the drugs and contacted the authorities. The US Border Patrol seized the drugs, which have a street value of more than one million dollars."

This isn’t the first time an illicit surprise has washed up on Florida beaches. In June, divers in Key West found blocks of cocaine bearing fake Nike logos on the ocean floor.
In May, a Keys beachgoer found 65 pounds of cocaine, according to the Miami Herald.
In 2023, nearly 150 pounds of cocaine washed up on Big Pine Key, and in August 2023, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor recovered 70 pounds of cocaine on a family fishing trip.
